AVERAGE HIGH FOR MARCH 29TH: 50°
AVERAGE LOW FOR MARCH 29TH: 27°
FRIDAY SUNRISE: 6:56 AM
FRIDAY SUNSET: 7:29 PM
Sunshine has officially left the region and rain showers will be the main weather story for a few days, so keep that rain gear on standby this weekend. The chance for rain showers today looks most likely this morning, but chances continue through the day. Highs today will be a bit cooler than yesterday, but right near average approaching 50 degrees. Winds will stay calm across the region. Total rainfall amounts looking to range between 0.10“– 0.40“ possible.
A frontal boundary continues to stall over the region into Friday night bringing more chances for showers. Lows tonight stay in the 40s as warmer air continues to usher into the region ahead of a cold front moving towards the Twin Tiers associated with an area of low pressure that will pass to our north Saturday. Skies remain cloudy tonight along with calm winds.
Saturday looks warm as southerly flow helps to bring in warm and moist air. Highs in the mid-60s along with gusty winds. The chance for showers continues but becomes likely late Saturday night. Once a cold front passes late Saturday and early Sunday, some of those rain showers could transition over into some light snow showers for early Sunday before we begin to dry out. Little to no snow accumulation expected. Gusty northwesterly winds are possible, this will allow highs to fall into the low 40s on Sunday.
High pressure look to move in next week which means sunshine and dry weather returns to the Twin Tiers along with warmer temperatures mid-week.
