The Passage of the cold front that brought the storms of yesterday has dropped temperatures significantly today. Low pressure sitting over Maine is the driver of the cold front and lingering rain chances will stick around throughout the day, however the rain will be isolated if it comes. High temperatures today are lower than average in the low-mid 70s. Tonight should clear out with lows in the lower 60s.
We start July by returning to the 80s and sunny skies for most of the day on Monday. By then, high pressure will have set in for the time being and that will keep conditions dry for the day. Showers possible in the overnight hours Monday night with lows in the mid 50s.
The rest of the week remains seasonable with temperatures in the low-mid 80s. Isolated rain chances throughout the week with cloudy skies on Wednesday and Independence Day expected.
