Another warm Saturday is in store for the Twin Tiers with showers possible this afternoon. The possible showers due to a weak trough moving through the area. Today’s high will be in the lower 80s with northwest winds 0-10 mph throughout the day. Tonight we will dip into the lower 60s for lows with valley fog possible.
Tomorrow sees a very similar forecast with showers and thunderstorm chances in the afternoon after a very warm day. Highs tomorrow in the lower 80s again with mostly cloudy skies. Cloudy decreasing in the overnight hours with a low tomorrow night in the lower 60s.
The work week starts off dry with partly cloudy skies and highs again in the lower 80s. Weak dynamic forcing throughout the week will provide slight chances of showers and thunderstorms through the week, but will hold off until Tuesday. Low temperatures Monday will bottom out in the lower 60s once again. Tuesday warms a bit with a high in the mid 80s with shower and thunderstorm chances as mentioned before.
Speaking on the long term, there are two items of interest. One will arrive Saturday when a strong low pressure system will move through the area bring showers and thunderstorms with it. We will keep an eye on that. Two, long term models suggest a cooling trend in the next couple weeks.
