TOWANDA, Pa. (WETM) – A former Northern Tier police officer pleaded guilty to charges connected to a child sex abuse case.
The Bradford County District Attorney said 27-year-old Joshua Gleco entered his guilty plea in Bradford County Court to the charges he faced.
Gleco was arrested and charged after a 2018 Pennsylvania State Police investigation into an inappropriate relationship with someone under 18. State Police said the inappropriate relationship included recording of conversations without consent and sending obscene photos.
Gleco was a member of the Canton Police Department at the time of the offenses. He will be sentenced on September 23.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following persons recently entered guilty pleas in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda, Pennsylvania:
Joshua R. Gleco, 27, formerly of Montoursville, PA, entered a plea of guilty to two offenses of Intercepting Communications, felonies of the third degree, one count of Obscene Materials, felony of the third degree and one count of Corruption of Minors, a misdemeanor of the first degree.
Gleco will be sentenced on September 23, 2019, by Judge Evan Williams III, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department.
Trooper Terrence Foley of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Gleco after investigation in 2018 of incidents that occurred in Canton area on May 1, 2017. The investigation confirmed an inappropriate relationship with a person under 18, recording of conversations without consent and the telephone transmission of obscene photos.
Gleco was a member of the Canton Police Department at the time of the offenses.
