A ‘GoFundMe’ page has been set up to help benefit the Snug Harbor restaurant in Hammondsport. The business suffered damage when a fire tore through part of the building earlier this week.
A goal of $100k has been set on the fundraising page to help the restaurant recover from the damage.
According to the Hammondsport Fire Chief, the fire broke out around 4 a.m. Monday. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
The chief says a chimney malfunction sparked the blaze, which severely damaged portions of the building’s front porch and second floor dining area.
