CNY Latino is one of the few Hispanic publications in Central New York that covers town and cities from Albany to Buffalo.

It’s more than just a newspaper– it’s a media conglomerate preserving Latino history in Central New York.

What started as a mostly black and white 24-page paper in 2004  has grown into an operation that prints thousands of issues each month.

The newspaper covers everything from street art to immigration policies. All articles are in both English and Spanish.

Now, the organization created Hablando Con Central New York– the only Spanish commercial radio show in this area.

The show runs on 87.7 FM, but reaches places across the world like Columbia and Mexico.

CNY Latino is a part of a 30 minute special celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month that airs on NewsChannel 9 at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 3.
