Historic restaurant in Bath closed down

BATH, N.Y. (WETM) – A longtime family restaurant in Bath has closed its doors – for good.

A sign on the door Monday of the Chat-A-Whyle Restaurant on Liberty Street said the historic location closed Sunday – permanently.

The restaurant known for its world-famous sticky buns has been around since the 1930’s. It has gone through multiple owners.

No word yet on why this historic location has closed up.
