Deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ashleigh M. Grover, 36, of Hornell on seven counts of misuse of food stamps.

Police say that in late August and early September, 2018, Grover used another person’s benefit card issued by the Steuben County Department of Social Services while that person was incarcerated in the Steuben County Jail.

Grover used the benefit card, which she was not authorized to use, on seven separate occasions for a total amount of $106.20

Grover was released on an appearance ticket to appear in the Village of Bath Court at a later date.

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Steuben County Department of Social Services, and the District Attorney’s Office.
