The Bills let the team’s biggest fan call in the draft pick on Thursday from his hospital bed.

Pancho Billa, who has been battling cancer for over a year, is in hospice care in Texas and couldn’t make it to draft night. Instead, the team let Pancho, whose real name is Ezra Castro, call in the pick to the draft in Nashville.

They shared a video of that call Friday morning on Twitter.

Speaking with WIVB, Castro said this week he is on oxygen twenty-four hours a day. He says is right lung is “pretty much shot.” Castro said that while he is not giving up on his fight, he’ll need a miracle.

The Bills selected Houston defensive lineman Ed Oliver with the ninth pick Thursday night.
