When it comes to youth athletes, Heather doesn’t recommend the use of energy drinks. Youth athletes should focus on getting more sleep at night and making sure that they are eating three full meals a day if they find they don’t have enough energy for their sport.
For adults, it’s best to take a second look at why you feel you need an energy drink. Coffee alone usually gives a good enough energy boost to get you through the day. Adults also should try going to bed earlier if they feel sluggish during the day.
