In this week’s episode of Jump Start to Living Well, New York Sport and Fitness trainer Heather Maio discusses how kids and teens can stay active during the summer.

For kids that participate in sports during the school year, New York Sport and Fitness offers athletic training sessions for kids. A good strength training program is recommended to help maintain athletic abilities during off seasons.

The training offered at NYSF is open to kids as young as grade school and helps with coordination, agility, and body weight training. The program is meant to keep kids in shape during the summer so that when they go back to school, they start the sports season off strong.
