ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – Keiko Matsui is one of the many talented artist that will be performing at the Jazz Festival this coming weekend.
Keiko Matsui is an acclaimed pianist, composer, and humanitarian with transcendent and haunting melodies that have long sought to build strong bridges.
Her sonic cultural exchange has reached the hearts and minds of fans throughout the world and has allowed the pianist to work alongside icons like Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder, Hugh Masekela and Bob James.
On Saturday, August 10th the festival moves outdoors to Thorne Street Park in Horseheads from 2 to 7 pm.
Saturday’s outdoor show will feature saxophonist VINCENT INGALA, saxophonist JAZMIN GHENT, festival staple keyboardist MARCUS JOHNSON, and local favorite TOP SHELF!
Saturday’s event features lawn seating, food, and beverage provided by the EOP CFJP Bistro, and vendors including regional wines.
You may bring your own cooler with food and drinks (both alcohol and non-alcohol). Pets and grills are not permitted at this event, please.
Tickets are $40 and all proceeds benefit the Economic Opportunity Program, Inc.
