Lake George mayor longest serving mayor in New York

Robert Blais was first elected mayor of the Village of Lake George in 1971.  He was just re-elected for the 13th time by his faithful people in the community.

Although after careful consideration, Blais has officially announced that this will be his final term as mayor.

In his tenure as mayor, he has seen Lake George grow from a summer seasonal resort to one that goes nearly year round.

After Blais steps down as mayor he sincerely hopes someone will come forward to shadow him around and take on the role of mayor of Lake George and lead the village thoughtfully and respectively.
