Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) and SUNY Corning Community College (CCC) have each received grant money.
LECOM received a $3 million for the construction of a two-story, 52,000 square foot building at Arnot Park. LECOM will accommodate 120 students annually and expand to nearly 500 in four years.
CCC received a $1 million Empire State Development (ESD) grant to update their four main campus learning spaces. The learning spaces will house a mechatronics lab, expanded cybersecurity lab, and create an innovation space for project-based learning.
An energy retrofit of four academic buildings will provide students with real-life data in their local context.
