The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) campus in Elmira has begun to take shape.

LECOM received a $3 million for the construction of a two-story, 52,000 square foot building at Arnot Park.

Construction began on Jan. 14 and on Thursday, March 28 cranes raised the building’s first beams.

LECOM will accommodate 120 students annually and expand to nearly 500 in four years.
