Louise McIntosh has resigned from her position of Village Mayor.
McIntosh made the announcement directly to 18 News on Tuesday morning at around 8a.m.
She officially resigned during Monday night’s Village of Horseheads organizational meeting. According to McIntosh, one trustee called an executive session during the meeting to discuss concerns regarding an employee. That employee was McIntosh. The trustees told her they were displeased with her performance, which ultimately led to McIntosh’s decision to resign.
McIntosh has been the Village Mayor since December of 2015. She tells 18 News she is “surprised,” and “hurt.”
