A local man is looking fill a trailer with donations to bring to Florida for those affected by Hurricane Irma.

Chris Mickinkle is looking for donations. He needs food, especially foods rich in protein, like nuts, canned meat, and dried beans, hygiene products (especially diapers and baby wipes), as well as clothes and work boots. Bottled water is also needed.

Mickinkle said he’ll take pretty much anything people are willing to donate.

Items can be dropped off at the trailer parked at Advanced Auto Parts on Pennsylvania Avenue on the Southside of Elmira. It will be open and unlocked during business hours. The store is open from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Mckinkle said he’ll be personally driving the donations down sometime this week, depending on how quickly the trailer is filled.
