The fourth annual Elmira College Dance Marathon, held on Saturday, March 23, raised over $10,000 in support of the Children’s Miracle Network at Arnot Health.

During Saturday’s event, participants danced, and engaged in various activities such as zumba, face painting, henna, learning the Morale Dance, and more.

The dance marathon goes on for 12 hours, symbolizing the struggles experienced by the children served through the Children’s Miracle Network. The Elmira College event is held every year at the St. Anthony’s Community Center, located on the Elmira College campus.

According to Children’s Miracle Network, every minute 62 children enter a CMN Hospital for treatment.

This network of hospitals extends across North America and provides $3.4 billion in annual charity care.

Planning for the 2020 Dance Marathon is already underway, including a search for a new executive team for the marathon as many of this year’s team members are graduating.
