The Institute of Human Services unveiled a new, free system for those in need of support and information Thursday at the YWCA of the Twin Tiers.
The system is called 211 Teen Helpline and it’s not just for youth.
The hotline is also there for parents and professionals seeking confidential support on a wide range of issues.
Aside from helping those who call find information or the right direction, people can also share their experiences on the hotline.
The system is also entirely confidential.
The 211 Teen Helpline is available to neighbors in Chemung, Steuben, Allegany, Schuyler and Yates counties.
