UPDATE 6:04 p.m.
A third victim has died as a result of the shooting in State College, bringing the total death toll to four.. 19 year old Steven Beachy died at the hospital this morning after being shot last night by a gunman in PJ Harrigan’s bar. The shooter, Jordan Witmer, is a 21 year old from Benner Township, Pennsylvania. Police say they are still unsure of a motive.
UPDATE 2:15 a.m.
Police at the scene have confirmed there have been 3 deaths in total. The suspect fled the scene, crashing into a fence on Waupelani Dr. He then broke into a home on Tussy lane.
This was a random home and has no connection to the shooter. He shot and killed a man in that home, then shot and killed himself. The wife of the man who was killed was also home at the time. She locked herself in a bedroom and called 9-1-1.
2 others at the restaraunt were also shot. One male, one female. They were life flighted to Mount Nittany Hospital and are said to be in critical condition.
The female victim that was killed at P. J. Harrigan’s is believed to be the girlfriend or ex girlfriend of shooter.
Police want the public to know there is no immediate danger at this time.
Police have confirmed two people were shot at P.J. Harrigan’s Bar & Grill on Atherton Street in State College. One woman was pronounced dead on arrival with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Another victim was taken the hospital. Police say the suspect is a 21-year-old male from Bellefonte and ran away from the scene.
There was a heavy police presence not far from the scene at the intersection of Waupelani Drive near the YMCA. A car was found crashed in a ditch.
State College Police are investigating a shooting at P.J. Harrigans Bar & Grill at the Ramada Hotel on Atherton Street in State College.
One woman confirmed dead in this shooting. Shooter still on the run.
Police are securing the area right now.
