The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office added six members Friday morning.
The graduation ceremony for the newly-minted officers took place at the Hazlett Building at Lake Street in the City of Elmira.
They make up the 2017 class from the Basic Training and Peace Officer Academy, sponsored by the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office.
The graduates completed a four week program consisting of topics such as ethics, search and seizure, sexual harassment, manipulation by Inmates and court room testimony.
The graduates are as follows: Joseph B. Brant, Cody S. Marvin, Jacob L. Rose, Christopher A. Spencer and Douglas C. Stadelmaier, all of the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office, and Hunter A. Nemard from the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office.
