UPDATE (5:46 p.m.): Arnot Health has released the following statement regarding the ENT office.
Arnot Health is suspending its ENT service, currently located on the 2nd Floor of the Horseheads Medical Office Building, effective May 1, 2019.
Staff were informed Monday morning, and an internal memorandum was sent to Arnot Health employees and physicians later that day. In addition, patients with future appointments were called informing them of the change. All of the practice’s patients will receive a letter in the next few days informing them that the ENT service is being suspended until Arnot Health is able to establish permanent provider staffing and ensure the quality and continuity of care our patients deserve.
Moving forward, our goal is to continue recruiting permanent, full-time ENT providers to Arnot Health and to reopen the service in the future. Until that time, our priority is to ease our patients’ transition and facilitate the seamless transfer of their records and care to the practice of their choice. Patients are also being provided with a contact number for questions, concerns, and assistance in transitioning their care.
Arnot Health is suspending their Ears, Nose, and Throat office due to a lack of staffing, according to Director of Marketing, Communications, and Community Relations Ken Roberts.
Roberts told 18 News that staff members were notified on Monday and letters will be sent to patients.
18 News will have more on this story as it develops.
