Catholic Charities of Steuben are getting ready to host 10th “Toastings and Tastings” on Friday Feb. 8.
The event benefits the organization’s programs that fight poverty, addiction, and promote healthy child development and healthy family functioning.
Paula Smith, the fundraising and communications director at Catholic Charities of Steuben, also notes that their administraive costs are kept below 9%, meaning 92.5 cents on every dollar raised at this event will go directly toward supporting those programs.
The event is set to be held from 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel Corning. Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door and can be purchased online, or at our sponsor locations: Bottles & Corks, Connors Mercantile, or the Radisson Hotel Corning.
“Toastings” will include wine from distributors around the word,craft beers from local breweries including Brick House Brewery, Keuka Brewing Company, Steuben Brewing Company, and Liquid Shoes, and spirits from distilleries such as Four Fights and Finger Lakes.
For the “tastings” portion of the event, Radisson will be supplying hors d’oeuvres and Connors Mercantile will offer Sweet Shop chocolates.
Of course, water, soda, and other non-alcoholic drinks will be available for those who choose not to imbibe.
There will be a silent auction and raffle at the event as well, with items ranging in price frrom $20 – $1,500. Gift certificates will be raffled off to Tony R’s, Radisson, Three Bird, The Cellar and for an Echo Dot.
