Someone one said, “Let every new year give you new hope and faith in everything that happens….”

Faith, love, and hope. That’s how Elmira Discipleship Ministries chose to spend the first Wednesday of the new year. The groups gathers at the Federal Building in Elmira, and is composed of people from all backgrounds and denominations all there for the with the same goal and that’s to simply cover the city with corporate worship.

This month, the group focused on prayer and reflecting over 2018 and praying for and declaring truth over Elmira in 2019.

“One thing I found when my wife and I moved here is that many people who have been here for a long time; I have heard the stories and their discouragement that Elmira is on a down hillslide,”said Tre Reaume.

Helping the city has been the non-profits mission since its inception back in 2014. Helping out is something everyone can partake in as Pastor Tre said, its not about what denomination you are. Anyone who wants to see Elmira grow is invited.

“The days ahead are getting better and better and better. That’s not about a particular type of background. That’s not cultural, that’s not religious. That’s about visions that says there’s more,” said Tre Reaume.

The group meets on the first Wednesday of each month at the Federal Building.
