An Elmira man was arrested after Corning Police responded to an attempted break-in on East Second Street Wednesday night.
Tyrand T. Scott, 39, was found outside of the home by Police acting “in a disorderly manner and acting highly agitated.“
Police say Scott knows the residents of the home and there’s an Order of Protection against him.
Scott was charged with Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, and Burglary in the Second Degree.
Scott was sent to the Steuben County Jail Wednesday night to await arraignment Thursday morning at the Steuben County Centralized Arraignment Court. He will appear in Corning City Court at a later time.
No injuries were sustained by any of the involved parties.
