An Elmira woman is facing charges after she received thousands of dollars in public assistance she wasn’t entitled to.
Elmira Police arrested Tracy Domke Monday on an active Elmira City Court warrant.
An investigation was conducted by the Department of Social Services, Special Investigation Unit and the Elmira Police Dept. The investigation found Domke filed fraudulent paperwork with the Department of Social Services and received $1,340 in Public Assistance Benefits.
She’s charged with Welfare Fraud 4th Degree, Grand Larceny 4th Degree and Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st Degree are all class E felonies.
