A man was killed Sunday afternoon in a two car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 248 and Route 417 in the Town of Greenwood, according to New York State Police.
State Police said 77 year-old Merritt Price of Woodhull, died in the crash. Around 12:30 PM, Price was driving a 2004 Nissan Sentra South on Route 248 and was making a left hand turn onto Rt. 417 when he was struck by a pick-up truck. That pick-up, driven by 33 year old Joshua Vanskiver, was traveling Westbound on Route 417.
Price was pronounced dead at the scene. Vanskiver was flown to Robert Packard Hospital in Sayre, PA with non-life threatening injuries.
