The FDA has now approved an anti-depressant but instead of a normal pill, this is actually a nasal spray.

This spray contains a substance similar to ketamine, a powerful anesthetic used in the illegal party drug known as “Special K.”

The nasal spray will be sold as “Spravato.” It is meant for patients who have tried at least two other anti-depressants and have not seen success.

“Spravato” will only be used in medical offices where patients must be monitored for two hours following treatment.

If you are battling depression or anxiety it is important to contact your local health care provider in order to see if this spray is suitable for you.
