Firefighter Line of Duty Death Funeral in Ithaca
It is with profound sadness and heartache, that the Ithaca Fire Department family
announces the passing of our friend and colleague, Firefighter Daryl Pace.
After being diagnosed with job related cancer, Daryl reluctantly retired only a few
months ago, to spend more time with her family and to do everything else she wanted,
living life to its fullest. Her last few weeks have been spent with friends and family and
she was a fighter until the very end.
Surrounded by the ones she loved, and in the thoughts of so many, many friends…she
slipped away, yielding to her battle with cancer…Gone but not forgotten…36 years of an
A Fire Department Memorial Service will be held in her honor on Wed July 17 th
at 1:pm at Stewart Park in Ithaca for all those who wish to attend.
Any NYS District 4 member, Tompkins County First Responders, Tompkins
County Fire Departments and Tompkins County Police Agencies, wishing to attend
with vehicles and or personnel, should arrive in full dress uniform at 12:30 pm in
