Food prep for the “Big Game,” what to get and how to prepare

Are you preparing to watch the “Big Game” on Sunday? You probably have food on your list.

If so, our very own Chef Fred gave us his tips as to what foods make for some good eats on the night of the game.

“I love to make chicken wings. Garlic-parmesan chicken wings are my favorite thing to make for a game,” Chef Fred said. “It seems like everybody likes those, but not everybody likes the hot sauce. If you do wings and do them with hot sauce, do them on the milder side.”

He said to have the hot sauce on the side. It will allow someone to increase the heat intensity if they want it.

Chef Fred gave a warning to some who may be novice chefs.

“Anything that’s real complex, if it has more than five ingredients dont do it,” He said. “It’s going to occupy a lot of time.”

He added it increases your chances for making mistakes. 

Pizza is a common “Big Game” staple. If you order some, Chef Fred recommended that you assume everyone is going to eat about two slices.

His last bit of advice: use disposable plates, cups and utensils if you do not want to wash a lot of dishes.
