AVERAGE HIGH FOR AUGUST 9TH: 82°
AVERAGE LOW FOR AUGUST 9TH: 57°
FRIDAY SUNRISE: 6:08 AM
FRIDAY SUNSET: 8:16 PM
After the severe storms we saw pass through the Twin Tiers this afternoon, we will only see some light lingering showers. Cloud cover will continue to clear overnight and patchy fog will begin to develop, especially in the valley areas. Overnight lows will cool into the mid and upper 50s.
High pressure will build in behind this cold front passage which means a comfortable and quiet end to the work week. There is the possibility of an isolated shower on Friday, but the majority of us will remain on the dry side. Skies will also be partly cloudy. Temperatures will be slightly below average on Friday and heading into the weekend. Highs on Friday will be in the mid to upper 70s. Overnight lows will cool into the lower 50s with mainly clear skies.
Quiet weather will follow us into the beginning portion of the work week. Weather will start off on the quiet note, with partly sunny skies through the beginning portion of Tuesday. By late Tuesday and into Wednesday this is when we see the return of shower and thunderstorms, especially during the afternoon.
