Gym-goers plan to follow through on fitness goals, make New Year’s resolutions

Dozens of people are already getting started on their workouts of the New Year at New York Sport and Fitness in Elmira. 

It is difficult to keep a steady routine, however many are ready to follow through on those plans. 

According to Ariana Bulkley, sticking to a regiment cab be tough, however, she knows she can make those plans become a reality with hard work.

“I think the number one thing for me is that I love looking back at a certain periods of time.  And just be proud of the progress I’ve made. And so it’s really rewarding to look back in a couple of months and say I stayed consistent with that and because of that, I’m here now.”

And Ariana isn’t the only one with a healthy and fit mentality for the New Year, fellow gym goers say they feel coming in as a group helps to make things easier as you get through your workouts.

And a fellow gym member agrees. “When you have a group together, pushing you, you tend to get the results quicker,” said Fred Horn.

Whatever the goal or goals may be for the year, members stressed the importance of having a clear plan of what they want and following through on the promise made to themselves.
