“Our ally has a similar feel to another infamous ally,” Owner of Life’s So Sweet Chocolates, Darlynne Overbaugh said.

Even if you’re a Muggle, you too will have the opportunity to visit the magical Diagon Alley this Halloween.

“The whole alley, all of the business aligned, kind of already feel like this all the time. So it’s a very natural fit, so we can kind of just amp it up and have everybody come,” Founder of Circus Culture, Amy Cohen said.

On Saturday, thousands of people are expected to head to Press Bay Alley in Ithaca off of Green Street for Wizarding Weekend.

“I guess we captured the imagination of a much larger crowd than we expected and we are looking forward to welcoming thousands of people here. Maybe this will become an annual event, we’ll see,” Owner of Press Bay Alley, John Guttridge said.

The event went viral on Facebook in just one week because, where else can you catch a live Quidditch match?

In the spirit of the event, Boxy Bikes is putting on a real life Quidditch match. There’s even a broomstick, a Snitch and a Quaffle.

“You have one bicyclist who is driving the machine, so obviously you can focus on that and the person in the back is throwing a ball. Or in Snitch play, the person in the back would be trying to catch the Snitch,” Owner of Laurence Clarkberg said.

The business owners on Press Bay Alley don’t have to try hard to turn the place into Platform 9 and 3/4.

“We will have a person doing Terot readings out front and we are going to have some custom made tea blends for the Hogwarts houses,” Co-Owner of Bramble, Ciele Gladstein said.

You can drink some Harry Potter potions, listen to live spooky music, all while the witches fly above your heads. If you Muggles come, you certainly can’t dress like one during the costume contest.

“So I will have specifically Harry Potter themed stuff, but I always have very magical kind of creations from America Etsy makers all the time. I have dragons, unicorns and wands,” Owner of Amuse, Kristina Thelen said.
