The City of Hornell is set to receive half a million dollars as part of a project to rehab homes and neighborhoods in the Finger Lakes region.
That’s according to The Hornell Evening Tribune.
Governor Cuomo announced Hornell as a winner to part of the $22.6 million dollar project earlier this month.
The grant will be used for needed housing projects and rehabilitation throughout the entire community on an income-based basis.
Hornell Mayor Shawn Hogan encourages all who need work done on their homes to consider applying for help.
Hogan also says part of this program is to incentivize home ownership as opposed to renting.
