State Police arrested a woman from Adams on Thursday, April 4, after leading police on a pursuit that crossed through multiple jurisdictions.

Kayla Vanderpool, 21, of Adams, has been charged with driving influenced by drugs, and 14 other traffic citations — she’ll likely face more charges.

The pursuit began after State Police in Binghamton responded to a call of a wrong-way driver on Route 17.  Vanderpool later turned around and while police attemted to pull her over, she drove at speeds over 100 mph to avoid the trooper.

The incident ended after she hit a patrol vehicle at low speed in Owego.

Vanderpool was treated for minor injuries. The drivers of the vehicles she hit along the way were uninjured.

The investigation is ongoing.
