Joel Robinson, former Executive Director of the Finger Lakes Chapter American Red Cross and well-known area businessman, has joined the leadership team at United Way of the Southern Tier.
Robinson comes to the United Way as Chief Development Officer and assumes broad-based resource development duties, including United Way’s annual community campaign and implementation of strategies for year-round donor relations.
An Elmira Native, Robinson is married to wife Linda and they have three adult children. “I have always respected United Way and I’m thrilled to have an opportunity to work for this great organization. United Way’s clearly defined strategic direction, committed staff and leadership strongly influenced my decision to join the organization,” said Robinson.
United Way President and CEO Stephen Hughes said of Robinson, “Joel’s commitment to our community and broad relationships here in the Southern Tier will serve United Way well and we are delighted to have him on board.”
