A fire breaks out late Sunday night at a home on West Gray Street in the City of Elmira.
Fire crews from the Elmira Fire Department and the West Elmira Fire department responded to a report of a fire at 313 West Gray Street around 11:15 p.m.
Our photographer on scene reports the home appeared to be empty or abandoned as the doors and windows were boarded up. While flames weren’t visible, thick smoke filled the area.
No word yet on the cause of the fire or whether or not anyone was in the building at the time. We’ll of course bring you the latest details as they become available to us.
