To increase student retention and graduation rates, Mansfield University is launching a new tuition pilot program.
It’s called the “Freeze Individualized Tuition” program and it will charge undergraduate students tuition on a per-credit basis. It will freeze that tuition rate for eight consecutive fall and spring semesters based on a four-year plan.
That means a student’s tuition will not increase for eight semesters or until they earn their first degree, whichever comes first. The pilot program will start in the fall of 2016 and continue until 2019 so the university can measure its effectiveness.
