A popular murder case in Rochester comes to an end today.

Charlie Tan, the former Cornell University student accused of murdering his father has his charges dismissed today.

Tan is accused of killing his father, Jim Tan, in their home located in the Rochester suburb of Pittsford last February.

The trial was declared a hung trial a few weeks ago by Judge James Piampiano, after the jury could not agree on a verdict.

And now, that same judge announced today there will be no retrial.
