A lot of people dread going to the DMV but those who visited the DMV office inside the Mall at Greece Ridge on Monday were pleasantly surprised by a group of singing children.

About 25 students from the Nazareth Elementary choir sang to the people waiting in line. It was a welcome distraction from what can sometimes be a very frustrating experience.

“We got a great response,” said Mike Shaw, Nazareth Elementary. “Everyone’s happy. We see a lot of smiles cracking where there weren’t smiles when we first walked in, so actually I think the idea has worke out pretty good.”

The students sang funny songs about travel and transportation to help bring smiles and laughter to the Monday morning blues.
