Patricia Arquette received a Golden Globe for her role in “Escape at Dannemora,” a television mini-series that recounts the true story of the escape of two convicted murderers from the Clinton Correctional Facility in 2015.

Arquette won the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television. She portrayed Joyce “Tilly” Mitchell, the prison employee who helped Richard Matt and David Sweat escape.

The story continues to play out in real life, as Sweat was recently transferred to his fourth prison since the escape. He is now being held in the Auburn Correctional Facility.

The escape of Matt and Sweat gripped the nation back in 2015; the manhunt for the men lasted three weeks. In the end, Matt was shot and killed, while Sweat was recaptured and sent to a new prison.
