Runners take to the pavement to celebrate the “Big Game”

A group of runners gathered to celebrate the “Big Game,” by running just like the football players.

About 25 people took to the pavement for the Southern Tier Running Club’s fun-run Sunday morning.

They ran to and from St. Peter and Paul’s cemetery for 5.3 miles. The organization chose that amount of miles because of the 53rd “Big Game.”

The group will have a preview run for the St. Patrick’s Day race in preparation for the actual race. The preview run is next Sunday at 9:30 a.m.

Runners will meet at the Broadway School parking lot on Broadway Street.

The organization said it is always looking for members and everyone is welcome. Visit the STRC’s website for more information.
