Senior citizens showed off their holiday items for sale on Friday at the Corning Senior Center.
It was at the annual Holiday Craft Fair that the center hosts.
More than 20 vendors were in attendance and items for sale included handmade quilts, jewelry, paintings, needlecraft, and more.
One crew of senior citizens that take great pride in their work are the needle and thread group.
“We can sew, we quilt, we do our own projects if we want to, we do a lot of charity projects, and we just have a great time.” Betty Lou Taynton, a member, said. “This year, in fact, we did at least 480, if not more, project-type things to give away.”
The Senior Center does not charge the vendors for the tables, so the senior citizens get to keep 100 percent of their profits. Some donate a portion of their earnings to the center.
