Small businesses are the cornerstone of our local communities.
That is why the Southport Business Association installed a few signs to help promote their local businesses.
The first of several signs went up,Thursday, on Maple Avenue and Hampton Circle. We got a chance to catch up with some local businesses owners who fought hard to have the signs go up.
“It’s an exciting thing to start to be a little more represented as a retail area rather than just a residential area,” said local business owner Charlie Todd.
We have been told, there will eventually be four signs in total going up on streets around Southport.
Parnilla Carpenter also went on to say she designed the sign, not for any commission payment but because she like Southport.
