Amanda Eubanks, Director of development for Susan G. Komen of the Twin Tiers region stops by 18 News Today to discuss the 21st annual Komen Race for the Cure.
Susan G. Komen of the Twin Tiers works to save lives by investing in research to prevent and cure breast cancer. Sunday, May 19, will mark the 21st Race for the Cure 5K run. Leading up to the race, events will be held to encourage registration and build excitement.
Cocktails for the Cure is one event that will help raise money for the race. It’s an evening of cocktails and fun that also supports Susan G. Komen of the Twin Tiers region. All drink proceeds will support the Race for the Cure. The event will be held Wednesday, April 10 at the Radisson Hotel in Corning from 5 to 7:30 p.m. One drink ticket is $10 or buy 2 drink tickets for $15.
There will also be the 8th annual Passion2Action, which is a registration event that helps get people signed up for the race. It’s taking place Saturday, April 6 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Arnot Mall Center Court.
