The third annual “Sweet Juniper Day” was held in Sayre Wednesday.
It’s a day created in memory of Juniper Wakely, an infant who died shortly after her birth seven years ago.
Hot cocoa and cookies were given out at the Sayre Theatre.
Juniper’s mother, Mandy Wakely, hopes the day inspires others to pass along acts of kindness.
“I think it’s the perfect way to remember her,” said Wakely. “She was small, she was sweet. She changed my life and acts of kindness can be kind of the same thing. They can be small, they can be big, but even the smallest ones can have a huge impact.”
As part of the event, the Sayre Theatre also had a holiday showing of the movie “Home Alone”.
