During the early morning hours on October 11, 2018, the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of an armed robbery which occurred at a residence on State Route 17C in the Town of Tioga. The ensuing investigation revealed that a person was allegedly lured to the residence and robbed at gunpoint by two male subjects. Later on October 11, 2018, the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant at the residence where the robbery allegedly occurred, during which time two male subjects fled from the residence. Mason K. Runyon, 22 years old and residing at 2255 State Route 17C, Barton, NY 13734 was taken into custody after being located in a wooded area nearby. Isaiah J. Ramirez, 17 years old and also residing at 2255 State Route 17C, Barton, NY 13734 is currently at large. Investigators have charged Mason K. Runyon with Robbery 1st degree (class B felony), Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree (class C felony) and Grand Larceny 4th degree (class E felony). Runyon was arraigned in the Town of Owego Court by Justice Patrick Hogan and remanded to the Tioga County Jail with no bail.
Arrest warrants were issued by Justice Patrick Hogan for Isaiah J. Ramirez for the charges of Robbery 1st degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree and Grand Larceny 4th degree, and the Sheriff’s Office is presently seeking his whereabouts. Ramirez is described as a white male, approximately 5’9” tall and 230 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. This incident is not believed to be an isolated incident and the investigation is ongoing.
