Tommy Hilfiger is currently in Corning at his Market Street store.
He’s holding a book signing until 7:00 P.M. on this Tuesday night.
His book ‘American Dreamer: My Life in Fashion & Business’ was released last November but he’s using this as an opportunity to visit the area and give back to the community.
A $20 donation gets fans a copy of his book, a chance to meet with the fashion designer and have him sign your copy.
Hilfiger wanted to support a local foundation so all proceeds will go to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier.
He explains what fans can get out of the read.
“If someone is starting out in business or if someone wants to create their own brand, there’s a lot of information on how to do it,” Hilfiger said. “There’s a lot of background on my family and my upbringing and how I think and how I’ve built a team to really build this global brand, so I think there’s a lot of interesting info in the book.”
The book was released last November and he’s been doing a world book signing tour and decided to wrap up the year by coming home.
The Corning location has been open for six years and this is Hilfiger’s first time visiting.
You have until 7:00 P.M. tonight (Tuesday) to get your own copy and meet him.
The store is located at 47 East Market Street.
