Today marks the 74th Anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Just before 8 a.m. on a Sunday morning, nearly 400 Japanese warplanes attacked the home port of the United States’ Pacific Fleet.
The results were devastating.
About 2,400 Americans were killed and another 12-hundred were wounded, many while attempting to repel the attack.
Because of the attack, the United States entered World War II, a four-year effort costing more than 400-thousand American lives.
“12.7.1941 Let’s remember all the lives lost on this day at Peal Harbor. Rest easy gentlemen. #PearlHarbor”, tweets @Promerican.
And in happier news:
Eleven was the magic number this morning for rapper Kendrick Lamar.
That’s how many nominations he received for the 2016 Grammys….the most of any artist.
Taylor Swift was one of the two runners up in the nominations haul. She grabbed 7 overall, including Album of the Year for “1989”……plus Record and Song of the Year for “Blank Space”.
