An Elmira man will spend up to 23 years in jail after shooting a man outside of a 7-Eleven last April.

Willie Jenkins was sentenced in Chemung County Court this morning on first degree assault and weapons charges.

Surveillance video showed Jenkins and a group of men arguing inside the 7-Eleven store on Davis Street back in April of 2016.

The argument was taken outside and the victim, Isaiah Green, was shot but survived.

Jenkins is also facing charges of second degree murder for his part in the fatal stabbing of a man outside of Gush’s Thirsty Bear Bar back in June of 2016. Stay with 18 News for the latest in that case.
